Overview

What PageSignal does, what its four modules are, how each one appears in the dashboard, and where to start reading this documentation.

Updated on

PageSignal brings audience measurement, editorial action suggestions, and the sending of push notifications and newsletters into one dashboard. The product has four modules. Analytics is part of every contract and is the source of the data the other three use. Pulse, Smart Push, and Smart Newsletter are licensed separately and appear as items in the same sidebar.

The four modules

ModuleWhere it appears in the dashboardWhat it is for
AnalyticsTempo real (realtime), Audiência (audience), Explorar (explore), and Performance editorial (editorial performance)Measure what is happening now and how content performed over a period
PulsePulseSuggest an action for each article, based on Analytics data
Smart PushSmart PushSend push notifications to the reader's browser and phone
Smart NewsletterSmart NewsletterSend email newsletters to the site's subscriber base

Three sidebar items do not belong to a specific module. Tendências (trends) compares internet searches with what the site has published. Alertas (alerts) notifies you when a metric crosses a threshold you define. Aprovações (approvals) gathers the push and newsletter campaigns waiting for approval.

The work cycle

The screens were designed for a cycle that never leaves the dashboard. Realtime shows an article losing readers. Pulse opens a card with the detected signal and an action plan. The newsroom carries out the plan, sends the notification through Smart Push, and follows the recovery in Realtime.

Where to start

  • If you have just been given access, see Getting started.
  • To find out where each screen is, see Dashboard areas.
  • If the dashboard shows a dash, a disabled button, or an empty list, see Troubleshooting.
